Eurocom has been around since the earliest days of console games, and have created some of the best selling games in the industry in the process. We've always preferred to let the games speak for themselves, and devote our efforts exclusively to development.
Founded in October 1988 by current owners Mat Sneap, Tim Rogers, Neil Baldwin, Ian Sneap and Hugh Binns, our first game Magician, was published in 1990 for the 8-bit NES console. Now in our 20th year, we have steadily expanded our development to cover all the major consoles and handhelds, and have developed over 70 titles in that time. We have a development team of 270 people based in our Derby studio, working on multiple projects across Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo platforms, and PC.
Previous Eurocom developments have included many of the biggest selling titles in the industry including games based on James Bond, Harry Potter, Ice Age, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Batman, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, and Tarzan. We also create wholly original games, with our most recent original development being the critically acclaimed Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy for THQ.
In 2008 we have several huge, and so far unannounced, franchise and original titles in development for current and next generation hardware for 2009, 2010 and beyond. Our most recent development is Beijing 2008, developed wholly in-house for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, and published by SEGA.
